The Arkansas Nursing Student's Association

Who We Are

Arkansas Nursing Students' Association is a student-led, non-profit organization that strives to connect and prepare nursing students across the state of Arkansas to enter their profession equipped and ready to be the next generation of nurses. We are the official state chapter of the National Student Nurse Association, and we aim to equip students for successful nursing careers through annual events, leadership opportunities, professional education, networking, scholarship and award connection, and personal development.

Our Mission

  • To organize, represent, and support students in Arkansas that are preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs

  • convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession

  • promote development of the skills that students will need as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession 

  • advocate for high quality health care

  • advocate for and contribute to advances in nursing education and develop the potential for maximal growth in future professional roles of Arkansas nursing students.

Get involved to become apart of the future of nursing. Together, we advocate for excellency in nursing education, pre-licensure career development, and high standards of patient-care for the communities we serve. With ANSA, you can make an impact at the local, state, and national level.

Become a Member

We are the official state chapter for the National Student Nurses Association. By joining NSNA, you become apart of the Arkansas chapter! Official Arkansas membership dues are $70, + $50 in  NSNA dues, for two years of membership. Apply now on the NSNA website.

Become a Delegate

Become a School or State delegate to have a voice in the House of Delegates at the state or national level and have direct input into issues that affect the future of nursing.

Each school will have delegates and alternates that are based on their school membership numbers.

State Associations will have one delegate and alternate.

Apply for Chapter NSNA Constituency

You can qualify for NSNA official constituency status if your school has at least 10 NSNA members. 

Constituency status allows your school to participate in the House of Delegates and advocate for the needs of nursing students at the state and national level.
