To organize, represent, and support nursing students across Arkansas as they prepare for licensure — conveying the standards and ethics of the profession while building the skills for a successful nursing career.

Darby Mohon
President
Darby is a second year nursing student at Harding University from Nashville, TN. She previously served ANSA as both the LNEC and graduate consultant in the 2025-2026 BOD. When not at school, she can be found outside or at her sewing machine, crafting and creating!
Aaliyah Baros
Vice President
Hi there! My name is Aaliyah Baros and I am a junior nursing student at the University of Central Arkansas. I also serve as Secretary of our NSA chapter! As a military child, I've moved from state to state, but I'm grateful to call Arkansas my home. I love to fly fish and spend time outside. My "why" for nursing comes from a nurse who simply reminded me that everything would be okay. Although I don't remember her name, her words and the hug she gave me remained with me to this day. I aspire to leave this lasting comfort to every patient I care for.
Haylie Branscum

Hello! I'm Haylie Branscum, a Junior at the University of Central Arkansas. My passion for nursing stems from a desire to connect, serve, and uplift those around me. I would love to be the Publications, Marketing, and Fundraising Director because I love using visual storytelling to bring people together. For me, marketing and fundraising go hand-in-hand. Good designs capture attention, and well-planned campaigns turn that attention into support. Outside of nursing school, I love painting, playing volleyball with my friends, and spending time with my family.
Nicole Preston
Graduate Consultant
I’m Nicole Preston, and I’m excited to continue serving the Arkansas Nursing Students’ Association in a new capacity! Originally from Northwest Arkansas, I’ve studied at Northwest Arkansas Community College, the University of Arkansas, and graduating shortly from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After graduation, I have accepted a position at Washington Regional in the ICU Through my experience as ANSA District II Director, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for the importance of collaboration, communication, and professional mentorship in nursing leadership. I’m passionate about supporting the ANSA Board of Directors, strengthening connections between student leaders and professional nursing organizations, and helping ensure that nursing students across Arkansas have access to meaningful opportunities for growth and engagement. I hope to bring my experience, perspective, and commitment to service to this role while helping ANSA continue to grow and support the next generation of nurses!
